Getting ready for Baby Boy

I'm 25 weeks today, only 15 weeks to go until my due date. This pregnancy is flying by! I love that random people are starting to notice my bump now. I'm so happy this baby is healthy and growing.

We bought a stroller around Thanksgiving because we found an awesome sale. It's an UPPAbaby Vista and I am in love. Georgia approves.

Baby boy has clothes in his closet! I just love coming in here and looking at all the itty bitty clothes and imagining what he'll look like.

We started working on the nursery last week. David worked so hard and painted the room a sweet baby blue. We also got the crib in, so baby officially has a place to sleep. After looking at countless cribs, I went with a Jenny Lind.

I'm planning on lots of light blue, white and beige for the nursery. I figure in a couple of years everything will be trucks, super heroes and sports, so I'm enjoying decorating the nursery sweet and simple. There's still a lot that needs to be done, but I'm trying to pace myself so that I have something to look forward to these next 15 weeks. :)

A Winter Walk on the Beach

These photos were taken on a walk in Santa Barbara while we were in California over Christmas. I am still kicking myself for not bringing my camera with me, because it was just one of those absolutely gorgeous days at the beach. I managed to snap a couple photos with my phone before the battery died. But, oh how I wish I could have spent hours with my nice camera snapping away.

Christmas 2012

We spent a wonderful 10 days in Oxnard to celebrate Christmas with David's family. I took less than 40 pictures, which is shocking. We had a great time, and I'm bummed I didn't carry my camera with me. Great memories include a tacky Christmas party in Bakersfield, split pea soup with Annet's Dutch friends, decorating the Christmas tree, visiting a Norwegian store in LA, lunch at Topper's, Christmas Day party at the Zacks house and many, many more.

Here are a few of the photos that I did take:

Christmas lights on F Street.

Christmas Eve.

Hahaha. Such a tacky picture of the Zacks boys and their stockings. Would have been really cute 20 years ago. ;)

Christmas Day.

It smells like Christmas too!

I found this Christmas stove top potpourri on pinterest, and it was too good not to share:

Ingredients:
1/2 orange, sliced
1/2 cup cranberries
1 tablespoon whole cloves
2 large cinnamon sticks

Put all the ingredients into a saucepan. Fill pan with water. Place on the stove on the smallest burner, on the lowest setting. Refill water as needed.

One mix stays good for weeks as long as you keep refilling the water.

It sure doesn't feel like Christmas here in Arizona, but at least it smells like Christmas now!
