Theodore - TWO months

Theodore,

Here are some things about you at two months old:
You weigh 11 pounds 13 ounces and you are 23 inches long. That puts you in the 52nd percentile for weight and the 55th percentile for height. I can’t believe you gained THREE pounds in one month. You are getting so big!
You are nursing every 1.5 to 4 hours. I have pumped a few times this last month and you take a bottle like a champ.
You are sleeping 2-6 hour stretches at night. Your longest stretch is still right after we put you to bed at night. Most nights you go to sleep at 10pm, and then you wake up to eat around 2 and 5. You are usually up for the day at 8.
You are wearing a size 1 diaper and 0-3 month clothing. You don't like being dirty, so we go through a ton of diapers every day.
You love bath time, laying on your back and moving your arms and legs, music and your swing.
You don't like the car seat and being hungry, but you are starting to tolerate tummy time.
You are meeting all of your developmental milestones. You are cooing and "talking", gaining better head control, tracking things with your eyes, and you have discovered your hands.
This month Opa came to visit for a few days and we took our first road trip to California. You were so good in the car, but it still ended up taking us over ten hours each way with stops. I think we need to fly next time.
You love sucking your hands and thumb. I think you are going to be right handed because you much prefer your right hand.
Daddy speaks to you in Spanish, Mamma speaks to you in Norwegian and when we are all together we speak English. I really hope we’re helping brain development and not confusing you!
I am a little worried we are going to be in trouble with you because you are so active. At the hospital playgroup we usually sit next to two little girls your age. They both lay quietly staring and smiling at their mammas. You are cooing and talking, and constantly moving your arms and legs. You are such a boy!
We learned in California that you are a terrible napper without your swing. One day you stayed awake for 14 hours with just a couple catnaps. The next day we bought a swing to keep at Oma and Opa’s house. We are traveling to Europe next month and I really need you to be able to nap without the swing. Bootcamp has started. :)
You are such a smiley and happy boy. I just love it when you coo and smile at me. It melts my heart every single time.
Sweet boy, I love being your Mamma and watching you grow. It really is the most amazing thing I have ever done.
Love, Mamma
