Baby is the size of: An ear of corn

Total weight gain/loss: 8 lbs

Maternity clothes: Maternity pants, but regular tops.

Stretch marks: No

Sleep: Really good.

Best moment this week: We painted the nursery and set up the crib! Also, baby is now big enough to survive if he decides to come early. Obviously we want him to stay put for a while longer, but it's neat to know that he is developed enough to survive.

Miss Anything: No.

Movement: Yes, he starts moving the second I sit or lie down.

Food cravings: None

Anything making you queasy or sick: No

Have you started to show yet: Yes! My belly must have popped, because all of a sudden I look pregnant.

Gender: BOY!

Labor Signs: No

Belly Button in or out: In

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or Moody: Happy

Looking forward to: Decorating the nursery and getting everything ready for baby boy.

Christmas 2012

We spent a wonderful 10 days in Oxnard to celebrate Christmas with David's family. I took less than 40 pictures, which is shocking. We had a great time, and I'm bummed I didn't carry my camera with me. Great memories include a tacky Christmas party in Bakersfield, split pea soup with Annet's Dutch friends, decorating the Christmas tree, visiting a Norwegian store in LA, lunch at Topper's, Christmas Day party at the Zacks house and many, many more.

22 week update

How far along: 22 weeks

Baby is the size of a: Spaghetti squash

Total weight gain/loss: 7 lbs

Maternity clothes: Yes! I'm not sure if I really need them yet, but I bought the most comfortable maternity jeans this week!

Stretch marks: No

Sleep: Really good.

Best moment this week: David felt him move the other day. <3 When he's moving, my entire belly jumps around. It's the neatest thing ever.

Miss Anything: Spicy tuna sushi.

Movement: Yes, he is an active little boy!

Food cravings: Clementines and apple cider

Anything making you queasy or sick: No

Have you started to show yet: Not really, hopefully soon!

Gender: BOY!

Looking forward to: Christmas and lots of yummy holiday food!

It smells like Christmas too!

 I found this Christmas stove top potpourri on pinterest, and it was too good not to share:

Ingredients:

1/2 orange, sliced

1/2 cup cranberries

1 tablespoon whole cloves

2 large cinnamon sticks

Put all the ingredients into a saucepan. Fill pan with water. Place on the stove on the smallest burner, on the lowest setting. Refill water as needed. 

One mix stays good for weeks as long as you keep refilling the water.

It sure doesn't feel like Christmas here in Arizona, but at least it smells like Christmas now!

We are at the half-way mark in this pregnancy today! Wow!

Maternity clothes: No, but my pants are getting very tight.

Stretch marks: No

Sleep: Overall great, except for some weird dreams and occasional heartburn.

Best moment this week: Feeling him move! <3 Best feeling in the whole world!

Miss Anything: No

Movement: Yes, he is especially active right when I go to bed.

Food cravings: I'm sticking with the citrus. This week: clementines

Anything making you queasy or sick: No

Have you started to show yet: I still look like I ate too many doughnuts...

Gender: BOY!

Hiking Camelback

Steve had work in the Phoenix area this week, so he came up early and spent the weekend with us. Yesterday we hiked Camelback Mountain - an awesome hike in the Phoenix area. We'll definitely be doing this one again!
